The Dancer's
Studio Backstage is also home for Atlanta Dance Theatre, Inc. (formerly
Atlanta Dance Unlimited). ADT is a non-profit corporation formed in 1981.
ADT's purpose is to offer performing opportunities to our dancers and to
bring quality dance to the community. Since its inception, ADT has become
one of Atlanta's top performing companies. As a performing company member of
SERBA, the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association, a division of Regional
Dance America, we maintain high profile performances under professional
choreographers. |

Equally
proficient in the musical theater idiom, ADT has attracted nationally
recognized choreographers. Gus Giordano (Chicago), Trinette Singleton (Joffrey
Ballet, New York), and David Story (New York), Thom Clower, Michael Hollier,
Winthrop Corey have set choreography for ADT's repertory. |

ADT performs
throughout the year. Highlights include the holiday production of "Babes is
Toyland" (December 10-11, 2004), with a Spanish narrated performance on the
night of Saturday, Dec. 11. Our Spring 2005 production of "Sleeping Beauty"
(March 24-26, 2005) is performed at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. ADT
also contributes performances to Atlanta festivals, including Ballet Fest,
The Inman Park Festival, and "Jazz on Tap". |

Dancers are selected by audition for ADT. And, under the
guidance of artistic director Jonnie Kelley, selected dancers are encouraged
to develop their particular strengths in dance and attain a professional,
quality performance. Many ADT graduates are dance majors in college and many
have since achieved national professional status. |
